You keep hearing people say "get uncomfortable", but how do you actually do it? In this blog series, I share 5 of my best tips for stepping out of your comfort zone.


TIP #1:

GET CHILDISH

Once upon a time you wanted to be a unicorn-ballerina-supermodel. Yeah, sounds hella crazy now, but when you were a child, you didn't think it was. You believed that anything was possible. You didn't see limitations, real or imagined, so why have you stopped? What's blocking your imagination?


These next few days, I want you to get "childish". I want you to think about what you want to be and see when you "grow up", because let's face it, we all still have some growing to do.


The point of this exercise is to help you began to open your mind, remove mental blocks, limiting beliefs, and the idea of the impossible. Think like you did as your younger self. The version of you that was fearless and didn't care what anyone told you. The you that broke down in tears when you realized that humans couldn't really be unicorns (that doesn't mean you can't stand out though). The you that had childlike faith and a limitless imagination.


As you are thinking and hopefully writing things down, I want you to think about what your wildest dreams are in every area of your life. GO BIG! Put it all out there no matter what it cost, how long it might take, whether you know how right now or not. Don't think about anything that could stop you or get in your way.


You may not become that unicorn-ballerina-supermodel, but you can still be that unique, beautifully, and wonderfully made human being God created you to be.
