You keep hearing people say "get uncomfortable", but how do you actually do it? In this blog series, I share 5 of my best tips for stepping out of your comfort zone.

Take a look around you. Really take in your physical environment. How does it make you feel? Anxious & overwhelmed or calm & relaxed. If your physical space is lacking structure, so will you. This not to say you need to be a "neat freak", but your space needs to produce positive energy. Energy that inspires you and sparks creativity.

Now think about the last time you wrote down a plan for your day. Did you put it in your planner or just jot it down in a notebook? Did you put it on your Google calendar or have you just been winging it? There isn't really a right or wrong way as long as it works for you.

If you are going to use your phone, do it all the time, if you prefer a planner, that's fine too. If you are like me, you may actually do both. Whatever you do, just make sure you are being intentional and purposeful.

A vision, dream, or plan without action is just a wish. So, to avoid "wishing you had", do your best to be about that action. Do what needs to be done, even if you don't want to. Create small habits around organization until you master your new skill. It can be as simple as making your bed everyday or meditating for 10 mins.

The goal is to make sure you have a system in place that keeps you accountable for doing what you said. Not just because you said it, but because it's necessary in order to fulfill your purpose.
